On June 1st, IPADE Panama hosted a Tarde IPADE event as part of IPADE’s ongoing 50th anniversary celebrations, gathering together alumni and the local business community to celebrate IPADE’s history and learn more about its future and the programs it offers.

Oscar Aguirre, Director of the IPADE Central America Program, welcomed attendees to the afternoon’s activities. Subsequently, Dean Rafael Gómez Nava shared a few words on how pleased he was to be simultaneously celebrating IPADE’s 50th anniversary and the first graduating class of IPADE Panama. Dean Gómez Nava also acknowledged the presence of José Ignacio Piña, Ambassador of Mexico to Panama.

As part of the afternoon’s programming, Dr. Jorge Llaguno Sañudo, Professor of Organizational Behavior, imparted the session “Is it Possible to be an Ethical Leader?,” focusing on issues of integrity and management in the modern business context. Dr. Llaguno emphasized the importance of using the case method to learn from each discussion participant and their personal.

The 40 students currently enrolled in the inaugural IPADE Panama class join a community of more than 35,000 IPADE alumni. In the recently released Executive Education 2017 ranking published by the Financial Times, IPADE was ranked as the best Spanish-language management program in the Americas.

IPADE Panama’s second class of AD-2 students will begin on September 4, 2017. IPADE is proud to continue to support the ongoing professional development of the Central American business community.
