On July 10, 2017, the celebrations in honor of IPADE’s 50th Anniversary arrived in León, Guanajuato, where more than 100 IPADE alumni and members of the local business community gathered together to celebrate 50 years of excellence.
The event began with a Thanksgiving Mass hosted in the chapel of the Misión la Cañada gated community. The Mass was followed by an afternoon of programming hosted in the Ambrosía Room at Casa de Piedra.
Nahúm de la Vega, Professor of Organizational Behavior, hosted a session titled “The Perfect Marriage,” focused on the modern couple. Following the session, an abridged version of the 50th Anniversary documentary produced by Editorial Clío was screened.
IPADE Dean Rafael Gómez Nava offered his deepest thanks to the region for the opportunity to train local leaders since 2005:
“IPADE’s ongoing presence in León is a result of the support from many local business leaders and families,” said Dean Gómez Nava. “Since beginning our operations in León in 2005, we have offered six programs and now have a community of more than 264 alumni in the area.”
The event closed with a performance of Horizontes: reflexiones sonoras hacia la virtud (Horizons: Musical reflections on virtue), an orchestral piece commissioned from Mexican composer Samuel Zyman as part of the 50th Anniversary celebrations.
“Today, we’ve brought you all a little gift,” said Dean Gómez Nava. “This beautiful symphony is inspired by the life and work of the business community.”
